Georgian Downs, the track and the casino

Georgian Downs opened in November 2001 beside Highway 400, near exit 85 in Innisfil. The track shares its address with the casino: 7485 5th Side Road. It runs live Standardbred racing, the harness kind, in June, July and August. Simulcast racing opens at 12 PM, 7 days a week. Its closing time is not published.

Gateway Casinos Innisfil shares the track's address on 5th Side Road. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the live table games keep the same hours. A driver pulling off the 400 at 3 AM finds the floor and the tables running. Holiday hours are not published, so the casino line is the check.

The floor holds more than 1,000 slot machines, reel and video. A higher-stakes slot room carries Wheel of Fortune and $1 games. There are 22 live table games, from Blackjack and Roulette to Baccarat and Three Card Poker. Table minimums are not published. The casino's phone is 705-726-6770.

Two companies share the 5th Side Road site, and each runs its own part. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment runs the casino, from the slot floor to the live tables.
